 Join us for a special Cancer Awareness Benefit Dinner in honor of Betiel Beyene, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and, above all, a fighter and survivor. Betiel has bravely battled breast cancer and is celebrating seven years of survivorship. This event is a tribute to her strength and resilience. We invite you to show your support and solidarity at this meaningful occasion. Our evening will feature a keynote address by Dr. Aron Kefela, along with surprise guest speakers who will share inspiring stories and insights on cancer awareness and support. Let's come together to celebrate Betiel's journey and raise awareness for this important cause.

AWEL BUNN LECTURE SERIES on Sunday. The presentation will be in two parts. The first part will be a presentation by Dr. Nicole Saulsberry entitled “ Civics 101: Local Politics and the Importance of Learning How to Lobby for Your Best Interest.” The second part will be a presentation by Shirley Akwafo entitled “ The Importance of Cyberawareness.” We will send out The Zoom link soon. All city members must attend. Check the changes on the new flyer.

We will also have another guest who will speak about cybersecurity. The date is to be announced. Stay tuned for that.

November and December are stressful for high school graduates who want to attend colleges/universities. 

On November 3, 2024, AWEL BUNN LECTURE SERIES will hold “A college admissions and scholarship information session.” Please mark it on your calendar. Students, including junior high school students and parents, are welcome—a Zoom link will follow.
